What must I do to be saved?

Do you have a hunger to know God and His Son, Jesus Christ, the risen Lord?

Do you find yourself desiring to make much of him in your life?

If that is the case, and you have come to this point for the first time, then you must fall at the feet of the cross where sinners were atoned for, and you will be washed and received into the embrace of God. Come to the Father through Jesus, his Son, and you will receive his Spirit and be sealed in his eternal favor.

There is nothing you can do to atone for your own sins. Anyone convicted of his sin – which is the condition of us all – must look to the Savior who bled and died. He is the spotless Lamb given by God to be slaughtered in the place of a wretched, guilty humanity. He is the Lamb and the Lion who rose again on the third day and reigns at the right hand of the throne on high. He alone can save. Do not call upon the work of any other, for all others are impotent to rescue you and wash you. “There is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)He commands all men to repent and become his disciples. If he is calling you, do not refuse him. One day every knee will bow, but on that day, if you have rejected Christ, your knees will not bow joyfully but regretfully. For that will be the day when you are cast out of his presence into the fiery furnace of Hell forever, justly sentenced for your sin.

However, if you seek to make peace with the King of Heaven, then come and do not delay. He will not refuse you since his Father has given you to him. “All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.” (John 6:37) For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”(Romans 10:13) He will receive you. He will rejoice over you. “Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.” (Luke 15:7)You will be welcomed into the Father’s household as an adopted child, betrothed to the Son and joined to his body, the Church. You will become his treasured possession, his trophy of grace. He longs to sup with you, fellowship with you, hear you, speak to you and keep you forever. He will prepare a mansion sized room for you in his house and even make your heart his home. “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” (John 14:23)

If this is you, and you have found your home in the embrace of God through Christ, and have indeed called upon the name of the Lord, come to us and we will baptize you and care for you as a disciple of Jesus. For we must obey his command. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, i am with you, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
